Shipping policy
Shipping.
Most smaller value items are kept in stock and are usually dispatched in 1-2 days from the date of order. If you require an order shipping urgently please contact us. If an item is out of stock and the lead time is expected to be more than 3-4 further days we will attempt to contact you by e-mail or phone where provided, with an update and expected dispatch date.
Telescope mounts for example have a lead time of 7-10 days before shipping.
If you require your order delivered by a certain date please contact us and we will confirm stock availability.
Please monitor your e-mail in-box (and spam folder) in case we need to contact you.
Delivery charges are added automatically to the shopping cart and can be reviewed before payment is made.
Royal Mail Shipments.
Please note: Although Royal Mail describe a service as 24 eg. Royal Mail 24 and Royal Mail Tracked 24, these are not guaranteed timescales ie Next day and may take longer depending on the Royal Mail Network.
Export orders
It is the customers responsibility to :-
1. Supply correct shipping address, e-mail address and contact phone number.
Supply relevant Tax ID information for customs clearance. This may include SSN (Social Security Number) or EIN / CMB references.
2. Pay any customs fees and / or duties in their receiving country.
3 To ensure the goods purchased are permitted to be imported to their country and that the goods comply with all local laws and regulations and/or have the necessary permits if required. The shipped goods must be accurately described and with the correct goods commodity code. We can not describe the goods as 'generic parts' or 'gift' etc.
IN NO EVENT WILL Rowan Engineering Ltd be LIABLE TO ANY LOSS, INDIRECT,SPECIAL OR OTHER CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES due to seizure of goods by local customs or organisations.
4. In the event of a parcel being returned for non-delivery or non-acceptance or incorrect address or missing personal information or refusal to supply tax identification information or the shipper was unable to contact the recipient Rowan Engineering may deduct outgoing and any incurred return shipping costs from any refund given. Payment for shipping will be required if the customer requests the order to be re-sent.
IMPORTANT
For shipments to Argentina
Customers must supply ID (CUIT/CUIL, DNI, or passport) and fiscal condition letter (R, C, E or M): R: Registered responsible C: Final Consumer E: Exempt M: Monotributista
For shipments to Mexico
Customers must supply their RFC, CURP (Clave Única de Registro de Población), or their foreign tax identification number on orders shipping into Mexico.
Delivery, Examination and Claims.
The company will use its best endeavors to dispatch an order on or before any date requested by the Buyer or estimated by the Company.
If dispatch is not possible within the specified time, the Buyer or Company will have the option of cancellation of the order.
Customer cancellation requests must be made before the order is dispatched.
Delayed or Lost Parcels.
In the rare event of a lost parcel we can only send a replacement when it is confirmed lost by the shipping service used.
Where there has been a tracking information update close to when the parcel would have been lost, there would be an additional 2-3 weeks to allow the parcel to be delivered. After this time the parcel would be declared lost and we would offer a refund or a replacement parcel to be sent.
We appreciate the patience from customers when a parcel is delayed. This is usually due to clearing customs in the receiving country. Such parcels are nearly always delivered.
The Company will not be obliged to offer any compensation for disappointment suffered. The buyer shall except delivery via the method selected by the company, or requested and agreed by the seller. If you are not at home for a pre-arranged delivery then the buyer is responsible for any additional delivery costs. If you wish to change the delivery date once it is agreed then please give us no less than 48 hours notice prior to dispatch. The buyer shall upon delivery examine the Goods and shall promptly (in any event within 14 days of delivery) notify in writing the Company, where appropriate, any apparent damage, defect or shortages. Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, the Supplier will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this case, the Supplier will inform you as soon as possible.
